Why to support the CHRC The Community Housing Resource Center operates a two million dollar organization with a 15% administrative cost. We work hard to provide excellent services while making every dollar count. With a small staff of six, the CHRC prides itself in finding ways to have a high impact on Atlanta's low income residents. As we teach forming neighborhood organizations, we see grantmaking as an investment, both in a mission and in an organization. We hope that you see the value in our mission, community impact and low overhead when making your contribution decisions. Tax-exempt status:Since 1994, the CHRC has been a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3). The CHRC is in good standing with the IRS, including conducting an annual independent audit and filing the appropriate IRS documents on a regular basis. For a copy of our 501(c)(3) letter, annual audit or IRS tax form 990, please contact the CHRC. If we can provide any additional information to assist you in your investment decisions, please do not hesitate to let us know. How to Donate: For individual donors, the CHRC welcomes financial donations. Checks can be made payable to the Community Housing Resource Center or CHRC and mailed to our office at 659 Auburn Avenue, NE, Studio 153, Atlanta, GA 30312. For all donations recieved, a written thank you letter will be sent that is sufficient for tax return documentation. Corporate donations:Support from local and national corporations are an integral part of our financial stability. If you are interested in supporting our work, we will gladly provide a package of information including a grant request, financial documentation and any other requested supporting documentation. Donations can be targeted to a specific program or made to the CHRC in general. While targeted donations are welcomed, general donations are extrememly valuable due to the flexibility they provide in covering needed administrative expenses. To discuss your interest in supporting the work of the CHRC, please contact Aaron Sampson at 404.658.1322, extension 233. |
