Resources The Community Housing Resource Center uses a variety of resources to complete it mission. We receive funding from both public and private institutions and donations of both time and money from individuals. Volunteers have always been the backbone of the CHRC. From the very beginning it has been the work of volunteers which brought missing skills, expertise and initiative necessary to achieve the mission of the CHRC. The CHRC has worked over the past several years to generate program income where appropriate. While the majority of our services are offered at no cost to the participant, we recognize the value in earning income in order to provide for long-term sustainability of programs. 2006 Budget The CHRC's overall 2006 budget is just over $2 million, including approximately $1 million of direct construction dollars. The largest source of construction dollars in 2006 will come from a Community Development Block Grant in the City of Atlanta.
