The mission of the Community Housing Resource Center is to provide and support affordable housing choices in underserved communities. Who we Serve: The Community Housing Resource Center directly serves:
Introduction: The Community Housing Resource Center (CHRC) supports balanced community revitalization in Georgia through direct service, technical assistance, the provision of information, and technical services. The CHRC utilizes funding from public institutions, private foundations, and individuals and draws on the time, skills, and energy of many hardworking volunteers. In order to meet those needs, the Community Housing Resource Center, Inc. (CHRC) was formed in September of 1994 through a collaboration of Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, and the Atlanta Project. As Georgia, particularly the Atlanta region, has grown and changed so have the programs and services of the CHRC. Our strategic approach continues to focus on the two most important aspects of a community -- houses and people. We now have expanded into direct service programs aimed at impacting the deterioration of the housing stock, building the leadership and capacity of start-up community based movements, and public policy work. Today the CHRC is well equipped to achieve its mission of supporting balanced community revitalization through a host of innovative programs including:
